Corporate Compliance Lawyers in Alberta

We keep your corporate records aligned with the real decisions you make in your business — quietly, consistently, and without disruption.

Why we start with a questionnaire

Corporate compliance isn’t about filing paperwork for the sake of it. It’s about making sure your corporation’s legal records actually reflect what has happened — and what is happening — in your business.

Before we can get started, we need you to provide us with information about your corporation.

This questionnaire is an intake form. It gives us the information we need to prepare your Legal Services Agreement, confirm the appropriate membership level so we can take over ongoing corporate compliance properly.

How the Process Works

Step 1: Complete the Intake Questionnaire

You provide information about your corporation, its history, and how you have handled ongoing compliance to date. This gives us the factual context we need to open your file accurately and without guesswork.

Step 2: Intake Review by a Corporate Lawyer

A corporate lawyer reviews your intake questionnaire submission to understand your corporation’s current state, note any timing or filing considerations, and prepare the file for onboarding.

Step 3: Legal Services Agreement & Retainer

We send you a Legal Services Agreement and request the retainer. Once you sign and fund it, we formally open your file and begin work.

Step 4: Ongoing Corporate Compliance Begins

We take responsibility for your corporation’s ongoing legal maintenance. We track deadlines, prepare annual returns and resolutions when required, update records as decisions are made, and provide steady legal oversight as your business evolves.

Getting Clarity Does not Require Disruption

Many corporations end up partially maintained, maintained inconsistently, or handled by different professionals over time. That’s normal.

Completing the questionnaire does not force a change, uncover problems you must immediately fix, or require you to move your corporate work to us. It simply allows us to understand the current state of your records so you can make informed decisions on your own timeline.

What Corporate Compliance Support Covers

Annual Compliance Core

We prepare annual returns and standard annual resolutions correctly and on time, where applicable. This ensures your corporation meets its baseline legal obligations each year without missed deadlines or last-minute scrambling.

Records & Registered Office Support

We keep your corporate records organized, accessible, and aligned as your business evolves. As decisions are made, we update the minute book and registered records so your paperwork reflects reality, not outdated assumptions.

Ongoing Legal Support

Growing and In-House Counsel memberships include access to a business Lawyer for guidance, document support, and issue-spotting as issues arise. Instead of guessing or deferring problems, you can get practical input before small issues turn into expensive ones.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the questionnaire for?

The questionnaire is an intake form. It gives us the background information we need to prepare your Legal Services Agreement and request the retainer so we can take over ongoing corporate compliance properly.

What if someone else currently handles our corporate records?

That’s fine. We can review what exists without disrupting your current setup.

How long does the questionnaire take?

Most businesses complete it in 15–30 minutes, depending on complexity.

What happens after we submit it?

We review your submission, prepare a Legal Services Agreement based on the membership you selected, and send a retainer request so we can get started.

What if our records are messy or incomplete?

That’s common. The intake questionnaire is designed to give us enough information to understand where things stand so we can address issues methodically once we’re engaged.
